I want to sell my car but I lost the title (pink slip) . In California the DMV allows transfer using a duplicate title form. This form can be obtained at the Department of Motor Vehicles or AAA. It is required to have proof that the vehicle is registered in your name or in the name of the person you bought the car from. The easiest way to prove registration is with a validated registration.
